Tell your Federal representatives to support the Health Savings Act of 2017, S.403 and H.R.1175, introduced by Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) and Rep. Erik Paulsen (R-Minnesota) as part of reforming the (sic) “Affordable Care Act”.

These bills will support health freedom and help Americans lead healthier lives, provide more freedom regarding how Americans choose to spend their money on preventive health care options, and lower overall healthcare costs.

The bills expand the existing HSA rules to allow millions more to benefit. However, rumor has it that the expanded HSA rules will no longer allow use of the funds for vitamins and natural remedies.

IT IS URGENT THAT YOU TELL YOUR CONGRESS PERSONS TO SUPPORT PAYING FOR VITAMINS AND NATURAL REMEDIES FROM HEALTH SAVINGS ACCOUNTS.

With “public health policy” focused on the standard medical treatments of disease, rather than supporting wellness, natural solutions that may be more cost effective and less harmful are not readily available. The Health Savings Act of 2017 addresses our nation’s health challenges by being proactive in preventative care and improving healthcare costs.

With physicians like Dr. Rand Paul (Senator, R -KY) calling for the inclusion of dietary supplements and medical foods in any bill permitting health savings accounts, we urge the inclusion of natural remedies and dietary supplements as expenditures allowed from the proposed tax-free health savings accounts. Funds should be expendible from the accounts for any Informed Consent health care choice.

This bill is a step in the right direction that will allow people greater freedom of choice than some other approaches being considered by Congress.
