Holidays can be hard when you are in mourning. Very, very hard. Everyone else is programmed for fun – and so are you – but your heart is broken and this is the first, or the fifth or the seventeenth Thanksgiving/Hanukkah/Christmas/Yule/New Years without the person you love and miss so badly.
.
I know. This is the first Thanksgiving for me without General Bert, who was dispatched on his birthday, February 6, this year, in a hospital in New Jersey. He died in my arms, struggling to live – for his love for me.
.
He lost the struggle. I lost the physical presence of my soul’s companion, my partner in everything and the love of my life.
.
You may recall what I wrote about how devastated I was until Counsel Ralph suggested that we program a web page for me with General Bert’s Signature Frequencies. That’s NOT his voice.
