 What Your Doctor Doesn’t Know Could Kill General Bert

Why defying your doctors may be the smartest thing you can do and how the government will try to make that illegal.

Today is Day 52 of General Bert’s hospitalization. He has had survived septic shock (the greatest cause of mortality in critically ill patients), pneumonia (which according to Sir William Osler is “The old man’s friend”), total kidney failure, collapsed lungs, a pericardial effusion (fluid in the sac surrounding the heart) and more – much more.

Today, after being released from his second stint in critical care, he is back on a regular floor and was hoisted in a sling into a chair where he spent 3 hours in a sitting position (a big physiological deal for someone so sick for so long) and directed his own breathing for a full 4 hours.
.
And we exercised his wasted limbs and stiffened joints as a step toward the complete rehabilitation I foresee for him.

When he collapsed and had to be taken to the Emergency Room by ambulance it was clearly time for heroic allopathic medicine: oxygen, antibiotics, medication to keep his blood pressure from disappearing, etc.
.
As I have shared before, every doctor on his team, and there are many, told me either directly or obliquely, that was no chance he would survive.
.
What they did not know what that, in addition to their measures, which they fully expected to fail, General Bert had begun to receive a nutritional substance of which they never heard with life saving capacities;
.
Beginning just hours before he became ill, I started to spray this wonder nutrient into his mouth.
.
Aside from its aesthetic value, food has two metabolic functions: it provides the materials with which we build and repair our bodies and it signals our nuclear receptors to control, turn on, turn off, reset and otherwise interact with our nuclear receptors to use the information stored in our genes.
.
Bad food, bad nuclear receptor information input and bad results. Good food, good results. Simple.

I will be spending the day tomorrow (October 20th) at the Social Security Administration office to find out why Gen. Bert’s Medicare Part B insurance was cancelled in 2013.
.
Neither he nor she made that choice. Was it another form of harassment and assault? Was it a bureaucratic error? We do not know yet.
.
What we do know, however, is that without that insurance he is not eligible for the inpatient and outpatient services that are urgently important to him.

General Bert Back in ICU; His Insurance Cut – Help!

We’ve known for some time that General Bert’s powerful statement “Informed Consent is the defining issue of the 21st Century.” was not mere hyperbole in the struggle to preserve Health Freedom. With it General Bert defines both the field of battle and the weapons deployed.

Our Bodies — Our Consent.

.
The “other side” is very much aware that the universal right to Informed Consent trumps their claim of authority to mandate vaccines. Ever since General Bert made this issue the central thrust of our efforts, The Powers That (Think) They Be have engaged in counter attacks, from several directions.
.
SB277 in California is just one example. Bills are pending in the federal legislature that also seeks to override Informed Consent, in violation of the United States’ Treaty obligations. Federal agencies are also jumping into the battle, as the recent CDC “Quarantine” regulation explicitly denies informed consent — see: http://tinyurl.com/InformedConsentProtection

And so it comes down to General Bert standing up,
as we all should, to the would-be medical tyranny.

The Situation Has Become Dire.

Bottom line: after surviving two bouts of pneumonia and kidney failure, General Bert seemed on his way to recovery when an accident occurred; the trach tube in his throat slipped down his throat. He was rushed back to the ICU where he was intubated, the trach tube was properly re-positioned and secured. Because of his very frail condition, he remains in the ICU. He has the will to live, and the medical support he needs, for now.

BUT NOT FOR LONG.

.
Dr. Rima has been informed by the military health system that, due to misinformation given to them over 20 years ago at a meeting in West Point by the representative of the Tricare 4 Life military health system, General Bert does NOT have Medicare Part B, and therefore his recovery will not be covered by insurance.
.
Repeat: when he can no longer be helped at the hospital he is in now, he will have nowhere to go. He was rejected by the rehab center his primary care physician recommended, for having “no insurance.”
.
Having failed to silence General Bert when he called them out for intentional denial of the universal right of Informed Consent, they want to see him dead.
.
This is unconscionable!
.
We are, however, going to Push Back! Congressman Scott Garrett’s office is working with Dr. Rima and me to correct the Tricare 4 Life misinformation.
.
We are told, however, any bureaucratic solution will take months; months General Bert may not have.
.
As a result, to do what we can, I’ve set up a Generosity.com website to raise an emergency Fund for the General. 48 Days in the Hospital Health Care System

General Bert has been in the hospital for 48 days. Admitted on September 1, he spent 34 days in the Critical Care Unit where he survived:

Aspiration Pneumonia
Pneumothoria (Collapse of the lung) on both sides
Pleural Effusion
Scepticiemia
Glomerular Necrosis leading to total renal failure
Endotracheal Intubation
Tracheotomy

.
He spent about a week in a telemetry unit where his vital signs were measured remotely 24/7 and then was sent to a pulmonary floor (a step down in nursing requirements and a step up in his progress toward health).
.
Then his tracheotomy tube was apparently displaced and, in the space of about 45 minutes, his tracheotomy canula (tube) was removed, he was intubated, the tracheotomy opening was probed with the ENT guy’s finger, another trach cancula was inserted and he was extubated (meaning they took the tube out).
.
He was sedated for all of that and then transferred to the ICU because of the sedation and placed back on the ventilator, which he had been off for much more than a week.
.
Now he is being weaned from the ventilator again so that he can breathe on his own again.
.
He has survived all that and, I am totally convinced, will be able to recover fully if the treatment does not kill him. The question now becomes not whether he can survive modern medicine (with my active intervention, of course!) but whether he can survive Medicare.
.
You see, when we married in 1994, General Bert and I were told that we had coverage under something available to military people called Tricare 4 Life. Don’t bother to enroll in Medicare Part B, we were told, because it is a waste of money.
.
Fair enough.
.
So we didn’t.
.
Now, without Medicare Part B, there is apparently no Tri are 4 Life coverage. Who cares? Without it, there is no one to pay for rehabilitation. And getting it now will cost a minimum of $30,000 in back monthly premiums.
.
What happens to General Bert if he does not get rehabilitation? The worst. He is a physical and pulmonary cripple who dies because he cannot afford dialysis and other care.
.
Surviving the system is a lot harder apparently, than surviving the illness.
.
What can you do? Simple: you can make a generous donation to help us defray those costs of enrollment and then tell everyone you can reach that they should do the same.
.
You know what a leader and strategist General Bert is. Because Tricare 4 life did not train their people well, and because we got bad information, we are not facing the loss of this vital and productive warrior.
