Natural Solutions Foundation is moving rapidly forward creating the Valley of the Moon (VotM™) Eco Demonstration Project in the highlands of Panama. We now have a wonderful opportunity to work with Ciudad Sabor [the City of Knowledge], http://www.ciudaddelsaber.org/.

This private charitable foundation brings together a large number of NGOs in the Republic of Panama and is a semi-official organization with the ability to help us make the VotM™ project very attractive to people from around the world, by –

• Creating networking opportunities with other organizations working in Panama and around the world
• Offering a platform for instruction and research in our projects and sub projects
• Streamlining the visa process for participants, teachers and other involved with the project
• Enhancing funding opportunities for discrete projects and overall growth

To qualify for affiliation with the C/K we are required to provide letters of endorsement from well-regarded individuals who know us and are willing to speak favorably about our plans. Such letters carry no obligation of any kind, but do give the C/K personnel a sense of our seriousness of purpose and the regard in which we are held in various international communities.

The letter should indicate how you know the trustees of the Foundation and that you endorse our efforts to create the Valley of the Moon ™ Eco Demonstration Project.

Some points you may want to consider are:

• VotM™ is a landmark Eco Demonstration Project with strong local benefits and immense global ones whose mission is dissemination of all techniques and activities on a local, regional and international basis

• Teaching farmers to farm without chemicals while increasing yield, nutrient density and storage capacity will assist farmers to maintain families and communities while increasing their own economic viability

• Genetically modified crops and animals [GMOs] are, at the very best, in violation of the Precautionary Principle. Independent science, however, shows them to pose significant dangers to animals, farmers, consumers and the environment. Educating farmers and consumers on their dangers and encouraging the use of non-GMO seeds, crops and foods is essential to personal and biosphere health

• Supporting clean, unadulterated food grown without any toxins and free of genetic modification by farmers and non farmers alike allows full implementation of the Precautionary Principle’s intent – to protect the environment, and all within it, from dangerous modifications or alterations which are not known to be safe.

• By teaching non-farmers similar, easy to use techniques to grow their own food in small spaces at virtually no expense, food autonomy can be returned to the hands of large numbers of people who will be able to afford and control their access to healthy, abundant food.

• As access to natural medicine for prevention and disease mitigation and cure become increasingly inaccessible to increasing numbers of people, they will be forced to travel to the small number of places in which these treatments are available. By making a wide diversity of natural health options available to local, indigenous and middle class health seekers, the project will serve a vital function which is essential to health freedom.

• Education on preventive and illness-related treatment strategies which are safe, non toxic and effective, melding ancient wisdom (e.g., herbal lore) and advanced research (e.g., frequency medicine) will create an affordable, accessible and impactful system of care which can be replicated widely in many different contexts.

• Creating the market for clean, unadulterated food will sustain not only personal health, but create a demand for environmentally sound farming, health products and food.

Reclaiming the production of food and restoring the essential balance of food, farming, community and the environment is essential to any healthy community or nation. The Valley of the Moon™ Eco Demonstration Project (VotM™) will provide integrated options for healthy living, each facet of which stands alone and can be transmitted and, as the need requires, transmuted, by those employing these learned – and rediscovered – skills and knowledge.

The primary premise of the Valley of VotM™ is to introduce best practices around full sustainability – agricultural, health, environmental, economic and cultural and to do so with “Passion, Perfection and Profitability”.

To accomplish this multi-layered and complex goal in a concrete, transmissible fashion, many sub projects are needed, calling upon the wisdom and capacities of local and international experts. Farmers know farming, but may have forgotten how to farm without harming the environment. Permaculture experts can contribute to land management. Indigenous and local herbal lore, combined with advanced, non-toxic strategies for wellness and preventive health information can uplift the level of collective and individual well-being. Preventive medicine strategies may range from nutritional alterations in local diets to understanding the nutraceutical value of food combinations and herbs.

VotM™ envisions a fertile melding of advanced and ancient wisdom in each sector of community activity, creating a partnership and mutual learning environment for all participants in the context of a toxin-free environment and farming system.

Their innovative International Decade of Nutrition and Eco Demonstration Project are designed around the dissemination model so that every facet of their Valley of the Moon Eco Demonstration Project incorporates empowerment and education for the people whose health and income depends upon sustainable economically viable food production.

Their BeyondOrganic, BioDynamic Zero Emissions farm and farm school will disseminate chemical free farming and food production with superior products and significantly lowered costs to the farmer while the natural health system they will initiate offers both training and treatment using safe, inexpensive and effective Advanced Medicine – a melding of ancient and leading-edge informaiton and technology.

Best practices in farming, health and community building will be combined with seminars and hotel services and residential facilities creating jobs and sharing essential infomraiton both to outsiders and community members.
