Are you a threat to peace, prosperity and the triump of motherhood? I am, apparently. The self-proclaimed liberal bastion of independent thought, The Guardian, thinks so, anyway. And so do other corporate PR outlets, such as Time, which called to anti-vax doctors to be de-licensed and (sic) Reason where calls were heard to “shun” Vaccine Conscientious Objectors.

You see, I have done the unspeakable (and unpublishable), at least to them: I have told the truth about vaccines in a couple of comments on their web site.
.
Now, I am punished, banished, in fact, and have been placed on Pre-Moderation.
.
Who gets put on Pre moderation?
.
Here is what The Guardian says on their site:

“Q: When I post a comment, it says that my comments are being pre-moderated – what does that mean? Does that apply to everyone in the conversation?
.
A: There is a further exception to the overall reactive-moderation approach adopted by the Guardian website: in isolated situations, a particular user may be identified as a risk, based on a pattern of behaviour (e.g. spam, trolling, repeated/frequent borderline abuse), so a temporary filter can be applied to anything they post, which means that their comments will need to be pre-moderated before appearing on the site.
.
This is a temporary measure applied by moderators to a very small handful of people based entirely on patterns of actual behaviour, and should result relatively quickly in either their posting ability being suspended completely if no improvement is shown, or the filter being removed. The decision to do either of these things would, again, be based on that user’s behaviour and activity during the pre-moderation period.”

Now, I have to give them an A for consistency: a few months ago they ran an article opining that those who speak against vaccines should not be allowed to be heard and should be silenced through media censorship. In that they join the former Secretary of Health and Human Services, a US agency which apparently is absolved from having to abide by the US Constitution including that pesky First Amendment.

They are joined, as well, by the good grey bought and paid for government organ called the New York Times (which memorialized The Natural Solutions Foundation and me personally as a quack for citing a US Department of Threat Reduction/Department of Defense declassified study and telling people that their immune function would be well served by using Nano Silver 10 PPM in the time of [Ebola] plague).

They are exceeded, at least for the moment, but USAToday which points out that people who speak the truth about vaccines should be incarcerated and by that estimable organ of US propaganda, Time Magazine, which suggested that Facebook and Twitter could perform a great public service in a democracy like ours by simply banning, barring and blocking all dissenting or questioning voices about vaccines.

So for posting respectful, articulate, rather learned answers to nonsense articles about the urgency of getting everyone vaccinated for everything (which make no allowance for the fact that science eventually corrects its mistakes, even its most heavily prized and funded mistakes like vaccines, and the truth will out thanks to whistleblowers and rational thinkers) I am now classified as a risk, along with people whose “pattern of behaviour” includes “spam, trolling, repeated/frequent borderline abuse”.

But wait! Like people in power who think every veteran is a potential terrorist because a. they know how to shoot guns and b. they have taken an oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States, the Guardians have this to say about themselves and their moderation policies:

– ” In most other cases, when comments have been removed because they are offensive, abusive or threatening, we feel that the overall community and editorial experience would suffer (not to mention flame-wars would be prolonged even further) if they were left up.

For that reason, if a comment is perceived to be in violation of our community standards, we remove it from the site entirely.”

-“An important part of the moderators’ work on the Guardian website is to strive to make the community a welcoming forum for enlightened debate, and at times this will involve removing comments, but these removals will always be in line with the community standards.
.
Q: Can you tell me why my comment was deleted?Q: Can you tell me why another poster’s comment was deleted?
.
A: The answer is probably that something you posted was perceived to contravene the Community Standards, which govern the activity of everyone who contributes to this site.”

-“Q: Do you pre or post-moderate comment threads?
.
A: We reactively or post-moderate nearly all comment threads, which means that comments generally appear on the site before they’ve been seen by the moderation team. This is different from other community sites you may be used to, and can have the effect that comments appear on the site which may later be removed.
.
The only exceptions to this are certain special series or articles which may contain extremely sensitive content, such as Blogging the Qur’an. In these cases, all comments are pre-moderated before appearing on the site.”

OOOOOHHHH!!!! Did you realize that vaccines are as sacred, sacrosanct and sensitive as the Qur’an? Wow! I sure didn’t!

Silly me! I was of the impression that rather than being delivered from on-high to be believed in as a matter of faith and submission to the will of Most High, science was open for review, revision based on new data and rational thought.

I thought that civilization advanced by debating data and developing new understanding.

Got that wrong, I guess.

Apparently, vaccination, which you are certainly not supposed to question, but as with Islam, are supposed to humbly submit to without question (that’s what it says in the unblogable Qur’an, after all) is beyond the holy of holies, and is totally sacred.
.
Will some State supplied folks burst into the office of someone questioning vaccination and mow them down? Oh, no need! They just have to come at you with a cop, a gun and a syring. Bang! You’re dead!
.
Mandatory vaccines are coming for you, not just for kids.

You need to act now by taking 3 steps:

1. VISIT http://tinyurl.com/VaccinationISViolation and take the action step there to notify your State and Federal decision makers that you STRONGLY oppose vaccine mandates
.
2. SIGN the White House Petition which you’ll be taken to the link for after you complete Step. If we do not generate 100,000 signers by March 6, 2015, it will be taken by some in Congress as an excuse to impose Federal Vax Mandates.

( BTW – That link, which was prominently displayed on the White House Petition Site, as been [intentionally?] deeply buried on the site so it is very hard to find.)
.
3. SHARE the link. We MUST make our resistance to vaccine mandates abundantly clear BEFORE such mandates are pushed through.

THIS is the risk. Truth tellers are NOT the risk!
